~ 97-1. License required.
No person, firm, association, corporation or organization, other than a licensee under the provisions of Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law, shall conduct a bingo game or shall lease or otherwise make available for conducting bingo a hall or other premises for any consideration whatsoever, direct or indirect.
~ 97-2. Restrictions on leasing premises for bingo.
No bingo games shall be held, operated or conducted on or within any leased premises if rental under such lease is to be paid, wholly or partly, on the basis of a percentage of the receipts or net profits derived from the operation of such game.
~ 97-3. Purchase of equipment from licensed supplier.
No authorized organization licensed under the provisions of Article 14-H of the General Municipal Law shall purchase or receive any supplies or equipment specifically designed or adopted for use in the conduct of bingo games from other than a supplier licensed under the Bingo Control Law or from another authorized organization.
~ 97-4. Use of proceeds from bingo.
The entire net proceeds of any game of bingo and of any rental shall be exclusively devoted to the lawful purposes of the organization permitted to conduct the same.
~ 97-5. Limitations on prizes.
A. No prize shall exceed the sum of value of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.) in any single game of bingo.
B. No series of prizes on any one (1) bingo occasion shall aggregate more than one thousand dollars ($1,000.).
~ 97-6. Management and operation of games; remuneration.
A. No person except a bona fide member of any such organization shall participate in the management or operation of such game.
B. No person shall receive any remuneration of participating in the management or operation of any game of bingo.
~ 97-7. Games prohibited on Sundays.
No games shall be conducted on the first day of the week, commonly called “Sunday.”
~ 97-8. Incorporation of statutory provisions.
All of the provisions of ~~ 475 to 499, inclusive, of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York and amendments thereto are hereby made a part of this chapter.
~ 97-9. Penalties for offenses.
The unauthorized conduct of a bingo game and any willful violation of any provision of this chapter shall constitute and be punishable as a misdemeanor.
