PARKING LOTS

ARTICLE I
East Parking Plaza and West Parking Plaza
[Adopted 9-22-1986]

~ 207-1. Parking plan established. [Amended 6-27-2005]

The parking plan and restrictions set forth in the plans entitled “Proposed Parking Plan for East Parking Plaza,” dated June 27, 2005, and “Proposed Parking Plan for West Parking Plaza,” dated June 27, 2005, which plans are attached hereto, are hereby approved and a violation thereof shall be subject to the penalties set forth in ~ 207-3 of this Code.

~ 207-1.1. One-way traffic. [Added 11-23-1998]

A. The entrance drive from Water Street to the West Municipal Parking Lot behind Main Street (Route US 20) is hereby designated one-way traffic from the southwesterly curb on Water Street southwesterly a distance of 125 feet therefrom, and the direction of vehicle travel along said drive shall be permitted only from Water Street southwesterly into said parking lot. It shall be a violation of this section for any vehicle to travel along said drive toward or onto Water Street from said municipal lot.

C. The entrance drive from West Main Street (Route US 20) to the West Municipal Parking Lot behind West Main Street is hereby designated one-way traffic from the southerly curb on West Main Street southerly for a distance of 140 feet, and the direction of vehicle traffic along said drive shall be permitted only southerly along said drive from West Main Street into said parking lot. it shall be a violation of this section for any vehicle to travel on said driveway northerly from the West Municipal Parking Lot onto West Main Street.

D. Any directions on the parking plans of the East and West Parking Plazas inconsistent with ~ 207-1.1A and C which are shown on the surveys of said parking plazas at the end of this chapter are hereby repealed. [Note: “East and West Municipal Parking Lots” and “East and West Parking Plazas” refer to the same municipal parking lots located southerly of Route US 20 (Main Street) in downtown Fredonia.] [Amended 2-8-1999]

E. Any person violating ~ 207-1.1A and C shall be guilty of a violation and shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $50. [Amended 2-8-1999]

~ 207-3. Penalties for offenses. [Amended 8-8-1994]

A violation of the parking restrictions shown on said maps will subject the violator to a penalty of $10 and/or the towing and storage of the vehicle at the owner’s expense.

ARTICLE II
Village Hall Parking Lot
[Adopted 3-26-1998]

~ 207-4. Parking plan established.

The parking plan and regulations for the Village Hall Parking Lot located at the corner of Church Street and Day Street as shown on the attached plan are hereby approved.

A. The parking plan for the Village Hall Parking Lot at the corner of Church Street and Day Street, enacted March 23, 1998, is hereby amended to provide four additional parking spaces for village employees during Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., to be designated as the first two parking spaces in the second and third rows closest to Village Hall, and the Village Hall parking plan shall be as shown on the attached plan.

B. The parking plan for the Village Hall Parking Lot at the corner of Church Street and Day Street enacted March 23, 1998, is hereby amended to provide four additional parking spaces for village employees during Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., to be designated as the third and fourth spaces in the second and third rows closest to Village Hall, and the Village Hall Parking Plan shall be as shown on the attached plan. ~ 207-5. Penalties for offenses.

A violation of the parking restrictions shown on the attached plan will subject the violator to a penalty as provided by the applicable provisions of ~ 208-36 of the Code of the Village of Fredonia and/or the towing and storage of the vehicle at the owner’s expense.
