GAMES OF CHANCE

~ 165-1. Title.

This chapter shall be known and entitled as “A Local Law Permitting the Conduct of Games of Chance Within the Village of Fredonia by Authorized Organizations.”

~ 165-2. Definitions.

As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:

AUTHORIZED ORGANIZATION — An authorized organization as defined by Subdivision 4 of ~ 186 of the General Municipal Law.

GAMES OF CHANCE — A game of chance as defined by Subdivision 3 of ~ 186 of the General Municipal Law.

VILLAGE — The Village of Fredonia.

~ 165-3. License required; applicable provisions, rules and regulations.

It shall be lawful for any authorized organization, upon obtaining a license from the Village Clerk of the Village of Fredonia, to conduct games of chance within the Village of Fredonia, subject to the provisions of this chapter and the provisions of Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and the rules and regulations set forth by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board.

~ 165-4. Enforcement.

The chief law enforcement officer of the Village of Fredonia shall exercise control and supervision over all games of chance conducted under an appropriately issued license. Such officer shall have all those powers and duties set forth in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law.
